Approximate raw pastry shell measurements
Product thawing
Place the pastry shells on bench/ baking tray to thaw to room temperature - approximately 30 minutes.
Oven temperature
Pre-heat fan forced oven to 160°C for pre-bake, 150-170°C for filled shells.
Fill temperature
Ensure your fill mixture is at room temperature.
Baking time
For pre-baking shells using cold-set fills:
- Place thawed shells into pre-heated 160°C oven and bake for approximately 12-14 minutes.
- Allow the pre-baked shells to cool before adding your cold-set fill (i.e., chocolate mousse), then place in the fridge/ serve.
For baking shells with raw fills:
- Place raw fill into thawed raw shells and bake in pre-heated 150-170°C oven (depending on your filling) and bake for approximately 12-14 minutes.
